5 Virtual Tours to Explore with your Class
You don’t always need a school trip to explore somewhere new.
Virtual tours can be a brilliant way to spark curiosity, start discussions, and help children explore places they may never have visited before — all from the classroom.
From famous museums and royal residences to NASA laboratories and theme parks, these virtual experiences allow pupils to look around, ask questions, and explore at their own pace.
Here are five fascinating virtual tours to try with your class as the school holidays approach. Happy exploring!
🎢 Disney World
The Walt Disney World Resort opened in 1971 and covers around 25,000 acres near the Florida cities of Orlando and Kissimmee. Disney World includes four theme parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios — as well as water parks, themed hotels, and its own transport system.
A virtual tour is a great way to explore the parks, spot famous attractions, and see how different themed areas have been designed to create immersive experiences for visitors.

🖼️ The Louvre
The Louvre Museum in Paris is one of the most famous museums in the world and is home to hundreds of thousands of objects, paintings, and sculptures. Opened in 1793, the museum is known for masterpieces such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the ancient sculpture Venus de Milo.
A virtual tour allows pupils to explore the galleries, look closely at famous works of art, and experience one of the world’s most visited museums without leaving the classroom.

The Houses of Parliament — officially known as the Palace of Westminster — are where many important decisions about the United Kingdom are discussed and debated.
The House of Commons is famous for its green benches and is where MPs and the Prime Minister debate laws and current issues. The House of Lords is known for its red benches and plays a role in reviewing and discussing proposed laws.
This virtual tour allows pupils to explore the corridors, chambers, and historic rooms inside one of the UK’s most recognisable buildings.

NASA played a major role in the Space Race and, in 1969, Apollo 11 carried astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to the Moon. Today, NASA continues to explore space using satellites, telescopes, robots, and space missions.
NASA also shares a wide range of videos, virtual tours, and digital experiences that allow pupils to explore space centres, astronaut training, rocket launches, and life aboard the International Space Station.
